2016 ‘Mary Sharon’ Estate Pinot Noir Wine Special
In honor of the start of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we’re thrilled to reintroduce one of our most cherished library wines, the 2016 ‘Mary Sharon’ Estate Pinot Noir, named in tribute to our owner Janice’s mother, Mary Sharon.
Mary Sharon was an accomplished woman with many achievements to her credit. She originally trained as a nurse, following in her mother’s footsteps. Over the years, she went on to serve as the Social Services Director for Shoshone County and later as the Director of Health and Welfare for the State of Idaho. During her career, she also worked closely with the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Department as the county nurse. After more than 30 years of dedicated service, Mary Sharon retired, leaving behind a lasting legacy of commitment to her community.
Beyond her gift of community service, Mary Sharon was also a loving mother and grandmother. Janice, the youngest of her four children, shared a close bond with her, as did her many grandchildren who loved her dearly. She is missed every day, and her strength, guidance, and love helped shape the women we are today.
Aged 32 months in barrel with 12% neutral oak and careful barrel MLB inoculation, this pinot noir is both bold and refined. With graceful tannins, delicate floral aromas, and a long, expressive finish, this vintage is a beautiful reflection of the strength and spirit of the woman who inspired it!
